Review of South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999) by Quinn B — 28 Aug 2011
You get to see Kenny's face...:D.
Any fan of the TV show South Park, as I am, should definitely love the film. It has everything you'd want in a crude cartoon, coarse language, amusing characters, and a silly plot, and it all comes together perfectly. The film is undoubtedly hilarious, and definitely kept me entertained throughout.
South Park: Bigger, Longer And Uncut follows Stan, Eric, Kyle, and Kenny as they are up to their regular "activities" yet again. This time they all just recently watched the new Terrance and Phillip movie "Asses of Fire". Offended by the new language they picked up, the kids parents, mainly Stan's mom, decide to take it to the next level. Since Terrance and Phillip are Canadians, and their movies are made in Canada, they decide to take them hostage while in Canada, and wage a war against Canada. But Stan, Kyle, and Eric won't sit around waiting for their favourite actors to be murdered (although Eric would prefer it), instead they form a group called La Resistance, to free Terrance and Phillip and stop the war. Oh, and Kenny is now staying in Hell. Well down there he learns that if Todd and Phillip get murdered, satin will rise and rule the Earth...as if they didn't already have enough to handle.
Now being Canadian, this film is highly offensive. But honestly who gives a crap. They use the stereotypical "Canadian accent", which I assure you, very few have. And treat Canada like we are a bunch of idiots. But, thankfully it is South Park. They can make fun of anything, literally anything...well almost anything, and get away with it.
Now the main reason for South Park's success is because of Eric Cartman. And he does not dissapoint, being as hilarious as ever! Causing non stop laughs. Stan and Kyle were great as well...and everybody loves Kenny.
All in all, South Park: Bigger, Longer And Uncut should be loved by anybody who watches the show.
My Rating For South Park: Bigger, Longer And Uncut is.
80%.
