Review of South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999) by Denis A — 10 Feb 2011
I don't usually watch South Park on TV; not because I think it's offensive, but I just never had the time. But South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut is a very funny movie with an effective satire about vulgarity, parenting, and musicals.
It's offensive and shouldn't be viewed by children, but the point is not playing the blame game and being a responsible viewer and/or parent. The musical aspect of the film is very well done and there's frequently something to chuckle or guffaw at in each scene.
I like how under all the distasteful material, there is heart and witty satire in the film... plus it's really funny.
