Review of South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999) by Trenton B — 28 Sep 2011
Matt Stone and Trey Parker find the spirit of the Golden Age, All-American musical and drag it kicking and screaming into the 20th Century. With a breakout score featuring insane, profane songs (my personal favorite is the touching power ballad "Up There" sung by Satan), South Park is both an R-rated send off to popular Broadway and Disney musicals and a parody of them and itself.
