Clever idea stretched to a feature. Jones shows he is an interesting director to watch but without a crackerjack cast this could have easily fallen over. Gyllenhall is outstanding in a very tough role but ultimately the film tries to have its cake and eat it too and at that moment the logic holes get too big for the film to work.
