Review of Source Code (2011) by Bill B — 23 Oct 2012
Duncan Jones makes another great sci-fi tinged thriller, this time throwing Jake Gyllenhaal into the bodies of strangers on a train, giving him a brief window of time to locate a bomber. Gyllenhaal becomes obsessed with not only carrying out his mission but also helping the always lovely Michelle Monaghan, who his superiors continually tell him has already been killed in this bombing, but he's convinced that he can somehow save her if left to his own devices, which makes for some interesting moments as he plays out the same scenario multiple times, trying to do this or that differently, which is pretty interesting.
