Review of Source Code (2011) by Tyler R — 23 Nov 2012
Every couple years, there tends to be a sci-fi film that leaves me sitting in the seat with my jaw on the floor. "Source Code" did just that. The film follows a man that wakes up on a train with no idea who he is, well, no idea who he currently is.
What follows is a series of events as the man tries to disarm a bomb on a train, while figuring out what is really going on. With an idea like that, any film could fall apart within the first half, but "Source Code" is crafted with such precision that it holds steadily throughout.
Even the leaps in logic are expertly presented to the point where the audience looks past them. The acting from everyone is pretty good, mainly because, well, I don't want to spoil it. The effects aren't bad, either.
If you're looking for a stellar sci-fi film with a hell of a twist ending, "Source Code" will do you no wrong.
