Review of Source Code (2011) by Angela V — 28 Dec 2012
This movie was great, better than I expected it to be. I was surprised at how touching the story turned out to be and how grave the situation actually was, compared to my first assumption from the trailer and the first few minutes of the movie.
The concept was fantastic and the compassion behind the captian and Goodwin was touching, it was so unfortunate what happened to the Captain, but the end result I think was very fitting and the source code grew to be something much more brilliant and profound that even the creator would have suspected.
To describe this movie I would say it, was cool, had a good dose of suspense, carried remarkable amount of hope, despite the seemingly hopeless and unfortunate situation, and it was highly entertaining.
Wouldn't have switched this movie for anything else as I was watching. If you didn't like this movie, then that seems to me, one of the greatest mysteries of the universe. How could you not? Then again it is always a matter of taste and one's capacity to appreciate the simple wonders of this film and the profound and deep story behind it.
