Review of Soundtrack for a Revolution (2009) by Ashlar C — 12 May 2010
Nice doco but the segues to contemporary artists was a mixed bag.
They were mostly ill-conceived and detracted from the documentary while the songs chosen for the seques were often unpredictable.
Wyclef Jean and the song he sang were horrible, Joss Stone was uncomfortable to watch, and the lead singer of Roots needed to lose the hat.
Mary Mary was the best, followed by Richie Havens and John Legend.
