Review of Sound of My Voice (2011) by Brett B — 25 Jun 2012
An intriguing concept that harks to the films where documentary-makers get in out of their depth starts well, but then lags a lot in the middle before ramping up towards the end and leaves you with far more open-ended questions than should be allowed.
It looked like to be an epic twist, but it was cut short with no way of knowing what it all meant. The ongoing creepy and unsettling atmosphere is expertly executed keeping you on edge the whole time.
The acting was pretty good, but the script was rather cliched in places. Worth a watch, but don't expect a satisfying conclusion.
