Review of Soul Surfer (2011) by Matt C — 12 Aug 2012
Although a tad schmaltzy (although not according to my wife!), you can't help but be swept away by this true story. Bethany is shown to be a truly inspiring person and her real grit and determination (clearly founded in her strong faith) cannot help but win you over.
Obviously her final triumph isn't a great surprise but that doesn't make it any less emotional and enchanting.
