This is a film made for the North American Christian market.
Having read the book that this film is based upon, I knew the kind of film to expect.
It was not as preachy as I was expecting.
There is a scene in which Hamilton is at her church Youth Group, and is talking with her Youth Group leader about finding purpose in suffering.
The final scenes are standard Hollywood inspirational film.
