Review of Soul Surfer (2011) by Shelley P — 03 Feb 2013

I believe that Soul Surfer is a sad yet amazingly touching movie. I believe that this is sad because the very close family friends and family that had to witness the attack were probably in almost 3/4's of the pain she's in seeing a person they care for in so much pain.

It made me feel like I was there and watching it all happen. Then there was a big part where I felt sad also because Bethany felt useless, even though she is worth so much. That was not the only emotion I was feeling though.

I actually felt moved by Bethany's recovery when she thought she couldn't do it, then she finally tried and got so much better and stronger. At times I felt sad when she felt sad, and I felt happy when she was happy, and thats what Soul Surfer is all about, and I'm not usually that vulnerable, so that might be even more touching for others.
