Review of Soul Men (2008) by Miriam G — 04 Feb 2009
The late Bernie Mac and Samuel L. Jackson actually have great chemistry is what is now Mac's last film. Playing two former backup soul singers getting back for a final gig, they turn in the usual love-hate dynamics, but are elevated by superior comic form enjoyed by Mac and solid follow-up by Jackson.
Nothing really new, original or fantastic, but quite funny, pretty damn good and breezily entertaining.
