Review of Soul Men (2008) by Tone Q — 23 Mar 2009

I was very surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. It was really a shame that I had heard nothing about before it was released, and very little after it hit theaters.

Bernie Mac was amazing in this film, and left us with some wonderful memories. One particular scene was quite sad to watch with the knowledge that we have lost him.

Sam Jackson, though very similar to the characters he usually plays, worked very well with Mac, and their chemistry and Odd Couple comedic antics was more than a happy surprise.

And then there's Sharon Leal... keep your eye out for her, she's an up and coming treat.
