Review of Soul Food (1997) by Jon C — 03 Mar 2011
A job well-done.
All the characters are remotely developed.
Each faced with their own problems and inner struggles.
The little kid 'Jamal' is the heart of the story having some semblance of power if not all of it.
Drama ensues as each of the family members come out of the closet.
It's a very good movie with the drama, the acting, subtle humor, and emotions.
Love is all that counts no matter how much we all dont get along.
