A movie that will make you hate Barbara Stanwyck. It's sort of like if Bette Davis as Mrs Skeffington were in a noir and you spend the whole film hoping for her to kick the bucket. A repulsive character but the film is saved by having an absolutely great ending that will cheer you up immensely.
