Review of Sorry to Bother You (2018) by Olavl — 10 Nov 2020

This movie is insane. So **** insane, it's almost hard to take it seriously. At the end of the film, when the day is saved by a bunch of naked horse-people, I was sitting in my couch thinking about what the **** I just witnessed.

Its definitely a good movie, well acted, well scored, and **** amazingly shot. But the story is just so bizarre, I almost didn't know if the film was really over when the credits rolled. There are some great scenes, many that pack a punch and a few with something profound to say about societal issues.

But they are almost choked to death under a heap of insane. It's a very good movie, with some great aspects, but the clashing between the clinically insane scenes and the more political ones gave me some tonal whiplash.
