Review of Sorry to Bother You (2018) by John B — 14 Jul 2018

Just saw it. I like dark comedy and the movie, at least from my interpretation, is an attack on capitalism and it's willingness to exploit the most vulnerable for wealth. I don't have a problem with the movie although I support capitalism but I digress.

The first half of the movie or so was on the right track and then it goes into some sort of surreal fantasy for a lack of a better phrase. Not the worst movie I have seen but definitely overrated by those indie hipster doofus wannabe critics.

Not worth paying theatre money. Wait for it to come out on video. Disappointed. It actually could have been a quality movie if it maintained it's focus but went off the deep end.
