Review of Sorority Row (2009) by Ad V — 01 Sep 2012

When it comes to slasher movies I am more forgiving of them than any other type and this film is no exception. Plenty of flesh, violence (but not of the gore variety), action and likeable characters (albiet one-dimensional) but there are two off-putting elements that bring it down a notch.

Some of the humor works but alot of it is forced and doesn't fit into what the characters are going through at the time and the other I can't really elaborate on except to say I wasn't feeling the killer's motivation.

So three stars for just being a good ole fashioned slasher that makes no pretenses otherwise.

Oh and for the record this is NOT a remake of House on Sorority Row (thankfully) as it bares little resemblance to that mostly forgotten gem.
