Review of Sophie Scholl: The Final Days (2005) by Anya _ — 25 Mar 2007
It's about time we start getting movies made about the resistance movement in Germany during WWII! The stories of Sophie Scholl and also Helmuth Hubener (I'm still waiting for a movie on him) are largely unknown but their stories are amazing.
I found this movie to be well made and truly inspiring to see the courage of these people in standing up for what was right. The movie was simply made (no overdramatic scenes, special effects, or violence) yet it was quite powerful, emotional, and inspiring.
