Review of Sophie Scholl: The Final Days (2005) by Rasmus B — 09 Mar 2008
I thought this movie would make use of a non-linear script, like so many others in this genre. It doesn't. We don't get to know much about the activities of the opposition movement and the various peoples involved and their relations.
The story is linear, dialogue based and focuses on Sophie Scholl, from the copying of the leaflets to the execution. This simplicity makes the movie solid and very captivating. The acting is brilliant.
