Review of Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie (1996) by Bruna A — 29 Jan 2007
A great film debut for the fastest thing alive! In an adventure that's more faithful to the old games' art style compared to other cartoons before it, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles team up to fight Dr Eggman's fiercest creation ever: Metal Sonic.
This film originated in Japan as 2 separate episodes aimed more at teenagers. Most traces of its more grown up origins still remain in the English version, but still it's a superb film! ALL Sonic fans will love this, I guarantee! Nowadays a copy for less than £20 is rare on the British High Street; even on the internet! So if you find a copy of this film for less than £20 anywhere, get it if you can, no questions asked; and say "get stuffed" to the ones costing well over £100 - you won't get your money's worth paying hundreds of pounds for an hour long film!
