Review of Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie (1996) by Andy C — 18 Feb 2010
Bizarre Sonic animated feature featuring some of the best Sonic features of old namely Eggman hatching an evil scheme and Sonic dealing with it as he seems to have little else to do at that moment in time. Tails and Knuckles along for the ride...lots of high speed action involving huge robots and an evil Metal Sonic.
A little cheap looking in places and mostly forgettable if not for classic moments like the slightly terminator 2 ending for metal, and moments of Knuckles comedy gold such as being reprimanded for accidentally falling into the cleavage of the president's daughter and punching Sonic in the back of the head in the closing moments because of something trivial that happens early in the film.
