Sonic is a movie you can take your family to see. It's fun. It's silly. Is it shallow and formulaic? Yes. But it's targeted at kids! And it manages to be entertaining along the way. Ignore the critics who are apparently salty for no reason.
This isn't a life-changer. It's not Pixar. But it's not half bad either.
