Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is an outstanding follow up to the first film. The first movie established the characters and the world of the films, but the second installment began to dive much deeper into the lore that is present in so many Sonic games.
Sonic The Hedgehog 2 built many layers on to the characters that we already knew. This film brought in tons of Easter eggs and throwback moments to the games that all Sonic fans would love. The acting/voice acting was again spot on for each character - including the new additions of Idris Elba and Colleen O’Shaughnessy.
Of course Jim Carrey and Ben Schwartz reprised their roles excellently. The visual effects were stunning and the plot was fantastic. The final act of the film was unbelievably exciting and I had a smile on my face the entire time.
