Review of Song of the Thin Man (1947) by Brian W — 07 Feb 2009
Probably not the best of the series, but any Nick and Nora is good. A very young Keenan Wynn as a bit of a sidekick was a nice addition. And it was interesting to see Dean Stockwell as Nick Jr. It also had Gloria Grahame, Violet from "It's a Wonderful Life", which marks at least 4 of the main cast of that movie that played major roles in Thin Man Movies.
One thing where this film did top the others is it finally broke out of the stale "gather everyone in one room to flush out the killer" ending. They actually wrote into the story a plausible reason for all the suspects to be in the same place at the same time.
