Review of Song of the South (1946) by Whatsit T — 23 Dec 2009
This movie deserves to be released in the US!
"Song of the South" is the second best Disney live-action-combined-with-animation movie as far as the Disney media is concerned. This movie is so NOT racist! In fact, it was a warm film and teaches very good morals.
This movie takes place AFTER the Civil War. It's about an old man name Uncle Remus tells stories of a fictional character called Br'er Rabbit and how Br'er Rabbit gets out of trouble.
I think the main reason why critics found this movie racist is because either the scenes where all of the African-Americans in Atlanta sing a song. What's so racist about that? In fact, I saw a few clips from this movie on YouTube (mainly the animated segments), and it seemed OK to me.
As my summary says, "Song of the South" needs to released in US soon! Who agrees with me?
Final Score: 100/100 (Awesome).
