Review of Song of the Sea (2014) by Amanda C — 23 Dec 2014
A beautifully animated film, Song of the Sea tells the tale of the selkie, a being that is human and land, seal in the water. The story is full of wonder and fantasy, the cut and paste traditional animation providing the perfect counter point to the Irish myth.
Equal parts entertaining, thoughtful and Haunting, Song of the Sea is by far the best animated feature of the year, although it won't get the recognition it deserves.
