Review of Song of the Sea (2014) by Oj H — 02 Apr 2015
It had a solid story, and seemed to take a bit from The Wizard Of Oz... the background animation was TOP NOTCH as was the overall design and movement of the characters... However, the only issue I had, was the simplistic design, and lack of movement, by and of the characters themselves. they were drawn very Nickelodeon and I think needed a bit more rendering to help. that is my only annoyance... but it was a big one.
Background design - A+.
Overall design and movement - A+.
Voice work - B.
Character design - D.
Story - A.
...could've been amazing if they covered the characters as much as they covered everything else... but they didn't, and it hurt the film because of it.
