Review of Song of the Sea (2014) by Luke E — 07 Aug 2015

Tomm Moore's follow up to his Oscar Nominated 'Secret of Kells', is an outstanding achievement in animated cinema. With an ambitious narrative scope full of rich mythological depth and raw emotion encompassing incredibly beautiful animation throughout, the film's story is nothing short of a masterpiece.

The plot takes incredible twists and turns with enough glorification of Celtic Mythology to enchant both kids and adults alike. It is a cinematic that viewers should not miss out on to experience first hand on the big screen that I sincerely hope gets a theatrical release here in Australia.

In saying that, much like 'Inside Out' and 'When Marnie was There', I very much look forward to seeing it again as to owning it on DVD.
