Review of Son of the Mask (2005) by Danburrito — 15 Oct 2015
This is nowhere near as good as "The Mask" which is my favourite movie of all time. But on it's own, it's pretty good. The absence of Jim Carrey is definitely a problem but Alan Cumming's Loki manages to fill a tiny bit of that void.
Tom Hiddleson will always be the best Loki but Alan Cumming is probably the second best. The scenes with the dog and the baby are pretty funny as well. The only problem with them is that the dog is shown wearing the mask during the day and night and in the first movie, the mask is only supposed to work at night.
It doesn't come close to the classic "Mask" but it doesn't deserve it's horrendous reputation.
