Review of Son of the Bride (2001) by Serdar C — 30 Mar 2009
Fantastic movie, deeply moving and funny at the same time. Story of a middle aged man running a family restaurant, dealing with lots of things in his life, an ex-wife and a daughter he needs to spend more time with, a younger girlfriend whom he is having commitment problems, an old father who wants to remarry his wife who has alzheimer, a hearth attack and a very old friend who pays a visit.
Ricardo Darin is very good here, he is my favoritte Argentinian actor, well I've seen three great Argentinian movies so far and he is in all of them! He is not a looker, he is no Dick Watson, but he is a great actor.
The poem scene was very dramatic even through the english subtitles and the intercom scene was just perfect.
AND WHO THE FUCK IS DICK WATSON!? Find out after the credits :).
