Review of Son of Rambow (2007) by Ed F — 26 Jul 2010
A lovely little film which features two remarkable lead performances from Milner and Poulter, who are definitly two young actors to watch. Milner in particular is the stand-out, lending his quietly damaged character a goofyness and sunny disposition which sparks great chemistry with Poulter, embodying the rebellious, abandoned character played by Poulter.
Though some elements dont particularly work and the subplot surrounding Will's families' strict religion isnt very engaging, the film as a whole is recommendable and may force a happy tear come the films satisfying conclusion.
