Anyone who has seen the Bible miniseries has seen most of the footage. But the big screen movie theatre experience and lack of commercial interruption is a huge plus. How was it ? Let's use reasoning.

The original production was a huge success on television; so much so, that it was received with open arms by movie theater franchises. This should speak volumes in favor of the quality of the production.

There have been other television bible productions that barely raised the needle by comparison. The story line itself, has always raised extreme levels of passion for and against the central character.

Actually; the reaction is the same now as it was 2000 years ago. With that said; the unreasonably harsh comments against the movie seem to speak more to feelings and opinions about the core message rather than the production itself.
