Review of Son of God (2014) by Brendan C — 25 Mar 2014
Definitely a film that appeals to those identifying themselves as Christian and offering a polar reversal of grittiness and violence as compared to Mel Gibson's, Passion of the Christ. The film is an expansion of the material seen on The History Channel's epic miniseries, The Bible, and is filled with brilliant landscapes, iconic imagery and stories from the New Testament, and a familiar and likeable personification of the Jesus most have read about in scripture.
Son of God is a more family friendly and gentler version of the films that have been created about Christ in the last 50 years.
