This new film about a story we have seen and heard of countless times is far from terrible but unfortunately that doesn't make a great film. This one suffers from massive clichés of the genre, a camera work that goes from interesting to poor quality.
The cast is ok but as I mentioned before the director stays within the rules of the genre and doesn't really take any risks. The sets and costumes are actually pretty good and believable. The film has a simplicity and a humility that were very well used here.
Overall it's a big TV movie with some interesting ideas and scenery but a lack of real vision makes this film a little dull.
