Review of Son of God (2014) by Arthur L — 29 May 2014
Son of God is not a movie for everyone. I'm not a christian, so I thought this movie was tolerable, but for christians out there: you may not want to watch this movie. It does capture all the main points written in the bible like the three temptations and the miracles Jesus performed, but some aspects are changed.
The way it's a bit gory during crucifixions helps the audience sympathise with the Jewish community. However, Christopher Spencer also does a good job showing the Roman community and how they felt while Jesus was being called "The Son of God.
" This is a good movie only for those who want a glimpse of the life of Jesus as written in the bible.
