A comic-book version of Jesus with a (Bee-Gees) Barry Gibb lookalike and soundalike in the lead role. Roma Downey and Mark Burnett's successful t.v. THE BIBLE miniseries prompted them to take snippets of the Jesus portion, add another 45 minutes, and bazinga, they've got another Jesus movie. This film makes THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD and KING OF KINGS look like masterpieces.
I didn't wait 'til the end of the film where it says "any resemblance to persons living or dead is purely coincidental" since I turned off the movie after the first 10 minutes. It could have been a better movie if they had used the Gospels as a reference.
