Review of Son of Dracula (1943) by Joseph L — 05 May 2009
The curse of Dracula finally reaches America as Lon Chaney dons the cape. He is certainly miscast as Dracula but does make for an effective villain. Often underrated, Son of Dracula sports a charming cast with a most memorable performance coming from J.
Edward Bromberg. The atmosphere is chilling, the themes of obsession are strong and the last tragic image of Robert Paige before the burning coffin will bring a tear to the eye.
