Review of Son of a Gun (2014) by Ned F — 21 Oct 2014

I'm a big fan of gritty in camera stunt work, mad max style stuff. I wasn't expecting to be impressed by this film as I went into it not knowing anything about it but was pleasantly surprised at how much in camera work is done.

The performance of the leads is commendable but I have to give it to the stunt driver/getaway driver who was also acting whilst doing epic stunts. A helicopter scene where a bearded Ewan McGregor leaps into a helicopter as its taking off the ground was the highlight of my year.

If this kind of stuff gets you off then this is a must watch.
