Review of Son of a Gun (2014) by Gerard M — 28 Feb 2016

Though I enjoyed the first half of the movie more, Son of a Gun shattered my low expectations. Its generic title and plot summary belied a surprisingly original take on the prison-heist film, and each main character was actually likeable in one way or another.

While the action isn't actually anything we haven't seen before, the acting and the subtle indie music style give the film its niche.
