Excellent acting by Gere and especially Jodie Foster, but it moves too fast with too many unanswered questions. Did Jack really kill the dog? And it could have been more powerful if Orin would have suffered a few consequences for his spiteful actions.
Excellent acting by Pullman as well. The ending could have been more... I was left hanging.
