Review of Somewhere (2010) by Jamie O — 12 Jul 2011
This movie was very slow; however, I did appreciate the understated story line...I could see how some might find it boring. Stephen Dorff and Elle Fanning were excellent in their roles....watch out for Elle Fanning.
..I think she's the next it girl. As far as recommendations go, this movie is chill; relaxed and subtle, little dialogue...so if you're looking for excitement, this is not your movie. Sophia Coppola is best known for movies such as The Virgin Suicides, Marie Antoinette, and Lost in Translation.
..I did not love Lost in Translation, or Marie Antoinette, but I did love The Virgin Suicides and would put Somewhere right beside it.
