Sofia Coppola's fourth motion picture Somewhere is pretty much like Lost in Translations. But this time it's taking place in Los Angels. This time we follow the famous actor Johnny Marco (Stephen Dorff) who has every a guy could which for. But he don't to find any meaning in all the things he do, all the awards shows, all the sex with lose women. But one summer his daughter Cleo (Elle Fanning) is set to live with her father, Johnny, because her mother need some time alone. Johnny seems to see the bright side of life as he to know his daughter more trough out the film.

I think Somewhere is a good movie, that this time actually follow a more realistic story than Lost in Translation, but some incomprehensible indie cliches could have been avoided. I like that this film doesn't glorify anything, Two strip dancer are two strip dancers and nothing more. Award shows are stupid, The press is naive and doesn't think about human feelings, neither do the Hollywood people. It's also a joy to see Benicio del Toro wearing normal clothes and a caps talking to Johnny in the elevator just like two normal people. This movie is focusing on humans that are driven around by machines. There also a great father daughter cemetery between Dorff and Fanning. Thumbs up.
