Review of Somewhere (2010) by Max H — 09 Mar 2013
To me Somewhere isn't a story because it has no main plot nor does it have a proper beginning, middle, or ending. However that does not mean that it isn't compelling. With a film that delivers a strong message and tough images to take in Somewhere is almost like a film that everyone should watch at that certain point in their lives where it is felt like they must reflect on who they are.
With the ending I do not necessarily agree that just by walking away from everything the man's problems are solved. The story has its flaws making the audinece have to interpret the history of the protagonist just by his actions and its cast could be stronger.
All in all Somewhere is an inspirational film that suffers from a film duration and plot development.
