Review of Somewhere (2010) by Mark P — 12 Jul 2013
This is like a poetic film cousin to "Entourage" (of sorts). Hey, in the whole history of entertainment, this particular director really has insight and access to a whole heap of Hollywood types.
As such, this film gives an audience a great perspective behind the glossy curtain. Really enjoyable visuals and effective long and extended takes with fragmented narrative (a little like a European film, one might say).
The poetic style is clear and satisfying.
