Something New was really good. Simon Baker is adorable and charming as the white boy love interest. The characters were dynamic and showed good range and depth. The story was well thought out and plausible.
The racial tension seemed a little forced at times and some scenes were uncomfortable to watch, but they were meant to be and worth it in the end. There were a few scenes where the camera was circling around the actors for much too long; I thought that I was going to get motion sickness for a few moments there.
