Review of Something New (2006) by Lesley R — 22 Oct 2007
I love this movie. I originally watched it because of Simon Baker's role in the Devil Wears Prada - and was intrigued to see how Sanaa would play the main love interest, after seeing her as one tough bitch in Alien VS Predator.
Sanaa still plays one tough bitch in Something New - the charm is in watching Simon convert her into something softer and human. He is also super hot. I loved them together in this movie, and their complicated, un-storybook-like romance that they make work.
A beautiful movie with beautiful people - and if it can change anyone's mind about interracial relationships, more power to it.
