Review of Something Like Happiness (2005) by Michael D — 06 Oct 2008
A Loach-ian family drama that works very well. The characters are perhapes more well-rounded compared to the people populating his films and there is more of a feeling for the grey areas of life and doesn't come across as preachy. The cast are all excellent but Geislerova just about stands out as the mentally unstable mother.
Fine film all round.
