Review of Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap (2012) by Randy Y — 21 Nov 2012
A bit of a love-in for rap- and nice reminiscing with all the significant rappers of the last 3 or so decades. Also nice seeing Ice-T (my favorite from back then) revise his MC role after wandering off with Body Count & acting for a while.
Great conversation about the art form, but not as much nuts-and bolts as I expected (but I suppose that would only be possible if it were a science). Anyway, well put together by Ice-T and his crew.
